Proposed sign/air compressor for Bike World Rentals at Pearl Brewery. Because of the artistic and unique engineering properties of this sign,
it was more economical to build a working, useable prototype for approval rather than have a sign company draft a proposal.

Frame Dimensions: Height 31" Width 41.5"
Weight 51 lbs

Materials - Steel Face, treated with acid, hydrogen peroxide and welding torch, then sealed with TIA sealer to maintain look.  Frame is 2" copper tubing, brazed, mounted to steel face with 40 zinc bolts and aluminum spacers for depth.  All copper is polished and multi-coated with clear lacquer.  Clock is mounted in cast steel and is waterproof. Top right of sign has a copper "T" fitting for placing an approximately 6 foot 2" copper pipe which will go up the face of the building, then turn in with a 90 elbow and enter 10" grate on the front facade of the structure, eventually connecting to the old malt vats in the main building, that still contain grain and alcohol.

Preliminary estimates calculate that the fermentation process of Pearl Beer is sufficient enough to generate a constant line end pressure of 160PSI after the dual stage air/beer separator*, more than enough for inflating bicycle tires. Heat dissipation problems have been solved by adding additional cooling panels to the sides of the copper tubing and sign.
